8.1.10  FINALLY... ANOTHER LIVE SHOW!!
Tony and Paul have assembled a Super Group incarnation of MDM for a set this Saturday August 7th at the Cedar Mill Hot Rod Cruise In. The corner of Murray and Cornell next to Sunset High.
The new band will feature  keyboard monster Eric Lawrence (Wild Life, Otovoid) trading solos with Tony while Jason Simpson (Otovoid, The Edge) takes over lead vocal chores for the majority of the set. Paul gets to hammer out the rhythm section with bass wiz and infamous Metal Mastermind Matt McCourt (Wild Dogs, Dr. Mastermind).
The set starts at noon. Lots of car songs and way too many notes are almost garaunteed!

5.16.10   Ronnie James Dio 1942-2010
Rest in Peace and Thank You....you will be missed.

3.01.10  You can now go check out the FRET-N-REST website or the HOTRODGUITARSHOP YouTube channel for those promo vids and lessons Tony cooked up for the NAMM show. There's a cool solo on Lesson 1...on a Fret-N-Rest!

1.15.10 Tony will be doing some demonstrations and clinics at the Winter NAMM show this weekend in Anaheim at the Convention Center. He'll be doing a Performance/Clinic at Booth 3404 for the FRET-N-REST  company several times daily on Friday and Saturday. He is also scheduled to do a demo at the Dean/Luna Guitars booth (hoping for Michael Schenker to also appear...how cool is that?) on Saturday and a Clinic/Seminar for Chateau Guitars on Sunday. And sorry to announce, no HITMAN STRINGS booth again this year.
And as a Grand Finale, on Sunday and Monday, Tony will be apearing with Marisa at Disneyland! They'll be singing all your Disney favorites in line for Pirate's of the Caribbean...and pretty much every other ride in the park.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS from MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE!

11.01.09
The downloads page has two new tracks from the upcoming Tony Gaglio/Jay Purvis Project CD  TWENTY. Backroom Politics is a mid-tempo latin flavored groove, and Movers and Shakers (of the Military Industrial Complex) is a full tilt country swing. Complete with pickin' AND grinnin'.

10.01.09 Right track at the right time! Can you say "GRAMMY'?

The exciting news this month is that our good friends from SoCal 900 Pound Gorilla are on the nomination ballot for the 2009 Grammy Awards! And maybe the most interesting twist is that they are nominated for Best Instrumental Rock Performance, and the song has a special guest guitarist. That's right. HITMAN joins John Baker on lead guitar on 'Roller Derby Girl'...yep, the ballot reads '900 Pound Gorilla featuring Tony Gaglio' ! HITMAN  is on the Grammy Ballot with (his old drinkin' buddy) Steve Lukather, Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan, Jeff Beck, Brad Paisley, Slash and 37 other world class bands and guitarists. Will they make the final list of five?  Tony says "Obviously I am just thrilled to just be on the ballot thanks to John and the boys. Another career highlight for me! My resume looks great right about now. Yet again I'm in the right place at the right time"

Also, on the Downloads page is an advance mix of the new Karlton Coffin Band song Get Your Drink On with Tony playing both halves of the dueling slide/shred solo. Tony joined Karlton and some old friends (Davin Carten got to pretend to play Tony's slide solo and Tom Torresdal  from Van Cleef got to lip-synch bass...with his hands) for the video shoot of the song on the Hawthorne Theatre stage this weekend. A ridiculously fun time was had by all. See the video on YouTube soon, we'll post a link!

9.1.09   The Downloads page has two new advance tracks from the Tony Gaglio / Jay Purvis CD collaboration TWENTYEights and Aces  is sleaze-jazz at it's finest and the lyrical  Satin Jungle  is a smooth samba influenced jam.
"TWENTY is a collection of original songs played by twenty fingers...or less since Tony doesn't use the little finger on his right hand." says Jay "We were gonna call it Nineteen but there's just not the same ring to it."

8.1.09   Tony did some recording with his Southern California buddies 900 Pound Gorilla. Tony and John Baker tear it up on an instrumental version of the song Roller Derby Girl as a bonus track on their new CD.

Tony also is working on a duo CD with Jazz piano/guitar wiz Jay Purvis for January and is adding some solos (a BUNCH of 'em  from what I hear) to a new CD from other former RECKLESS guy Karlton Coffin

7.1.09
Tony has up a great YouTube video lesson for MSG's Into the Arena. He plans on putting up more lesson videos for the students in his various classes as practice tools. I think lots of us that aren't in his class will be happy too! The new Username is HOTRODGUITARSHOP. We'll be setting up a MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE YouTube page soon!

5.01.09    Happy Birthday HITMAN!! Did he REALLY get himself another Hot Rod for his Birthday? You knew he couldn't let Paul have all the fun!

3.01.09    Our favorite drummer Paul Newman has upgraded his Hot Rod collection considerably this month with the addition of a 2009 Corvette! 435 horse LS3 with a 6 speed manual transmission and an independent posi-traction rear! I think the Cougars and Mustangs are jealous. We call it the Newman/General Motors Stimulus Plan

12.01.08    HAPPY HOLIDAYS and the best to you and yours from THE MOVIE!

9.01.08     The Downloads section has a new look! The current setup will soon carry some Guitar Classes and solo examples as well as material from rehearsals and sessions from the boys and ALL their projects.
Check it out!

3.1.08    Go check out the website of our good friends from Southern California  (where all...well, most...of the really cool bands are)  900 Pound Gorilla  featuring Tony's favorite  guitar primate John Baker.  Their new CD is flat out fantastic from start to finish! Get on the bandwagon early,  avoid the lines later.

And, as always when in Southern California, go support Angelo and the boys at FISHBONEDOTNET!

2.1.08  Our New Site look is a temporary one as we move forward and upgrade. Look forward to Guitar Lessons, Forum pages and Paul's Musclecar BurnOut videos!!
Coming Soon!

12.25.07
Happy Holidays to You And Yours from MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE!

9.1.07  The Downloads section has some new rehearsal demos and a Commercial piece that Tony did for a new Custom Chopper Shop called Mammalcycles.

5.1.07  Tony has a weekend of sets with Dave and Dirty Penny Blues Band filling in for Marc. I see lots of Hendrix tunes in their future! Friday and Saturday the 4th and 5th at The Spot.

3.01.07  Tony will be playing an afternoon set with perrenial local Jazz mainstay Jay Purvis at the Hawthorne Neighborhood Fair  first Saturday of  March. The stage is in the For What It's Worth Records parking lot this year. HITMAN says he's getting paid in Pizza. He took the gig because Jay said he can smoke all the cigars he wants during the set! Tony will be on Jay's new CD also, look for it in  June on CD Baby.
