 Tony HITMAN Gaglio

Guitarist Tony Gaglio was born at a very young age and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He began his life-long musical adventure on his grandfather's knee at age three. "My Grandfather on my father's side was the youngest player to ever win the Rome mandolin competition in Italy as a boy. He made many records in the old country and was quite a celebrity. I remember sitting downstairs with Grandpa, holding the tiniest mandolin he could find. He would teach me song after song. I would learn tunes from the 30's and 40's and loads of old Italian songs. He would always make me do the tremolo picking on the half and whole notes, too. And when my hand got tired we would turn on channel 9 and watch Mets games or the Spanish Wrestling on UHF."

Tony turned to the guitar at 13, after a brief flirtation with the drums, motivated by Randy Rhoads' playing on the Blizzard of Ozz album. Tony slagged away in many metal combos in the Eighties (most notably Portland based bands HAVUK and Reckless) and Blues groups through the Nineties. Always a part time instructor, Tony began to put more time into his lessons in the mid-nineties and has built up a huge business in his adopted hometown, Portland Oregon. He currently owns and operates a small, but painfully hip guitar and drum boutique, and a small (Eastside AND Westside) chain of music schools. With more than a dozen guitar, drum, voice and band instrument instructors working with him, Tony still pulls a full five day a week student load on his own!

Tony spends his off time playing with the kids, playing one of his many Pinball Machines, one of the Les Pauls in his massive collection or taking a drive in his Corvette or one of his classic GTO's or Firebirds. He loves to restore and modify these Pontiac Drag Machines and splits summer driving time between them.

Tony has appeared on hundreds of commercials, soundtracks, compilations and CD's, including featured spots on releases by Forces, 900 Pound Gorilla, Hurricane Joe, Tribal Tattoo, Big Monti Admunson, Jay Purvis, The Karlton Coffin Band as well as Secret ServiceHavuk, Reckless, Wolfgang and the MOVIE. He was a two time Northwest Blazing Guitar contest winner and featured in Guitar for the Practicing Musician magazine.

Tony was selected by the Editors of Guitar Player magazine as one of the ten finalists worldwide in their first annual GuitarPlayer Magazine/ Gibson Guitars GuitarHero competition, performing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland OH with Official Judges Joe Satriani and Steve Lukather. He was featured in the October 2005 and February 2006 issues of GuitarPlayer. In 2009 Tony was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Instrumental Rock Performance category for his work with the LA band 900 Pound Gorilla. He has appeared and performed as a guitarist, singer and/or host on television and radio, including feature interview and performance spots on local Northwest favorites including Good Day Oregon and AM Northwest. He is currently working on a solo CD of original compositions for the Theremin for release in 2011.

Paul ANIMAL Newman

Paul Newman, a native resident of Portland, Oregon, never misses a beat when it comes to playing drums.  Starting his musical  journey at the ripe old of age of 3 with violin lessons, he later picked up both guitar and drums at age 9.  Nothing could satisfy his hypertensive attitude back then quite like the kick ass pounding of drums!  The set was his outlet and became his primary focus, mimicking drummers like Neil Peart, John Bonham, and Bill Bruford, he always knew he could play it LOUDER! He's played in combos performing Jazz, Blues, Rock, Death Metal, and just about anything in between!  With this broad spectrum of previous experience, he looks to combine all styles into his playing.
When not working out on the drums, he works on  his menagerie of classic muscle cars. While focused when playing drums, he may have a little difficulty keeping focused on "Which car to work on what day." Although he enjoys driving them more than working on them, each one will always be an ongoing project he will never give up! Paul loves them all and has GM, Ford and Mopar in his compound!
Paul has worked with an endless list of Portland bands. Most notable among them L'Ace, Burning Hatred and The Brian Allen Ska Orchestra. He is currently in pre-production for his first instructional drum video "The Art of Stick Twirling and Proper Hair Product Application" scheduled for a 2012 release.
